Class Change

We will be changing our Monday 6pm class from a beginner class to a kata class. Beginners can still attend our Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday classes.

Our Kata class will introduce you to different forms of kata. Kata can be used for competition, fulfilling requirements for shodan and above, or simply to help you improve your overall judo skills. Kata can provide a deeper understanding of judo, including self-defense applications and techniques not allowed in shiai competition for safely reasons. Please join Sensei Chris Gonzales as he leads this class.

Introductory Judo Referee Seminar

Our friends at Budokan are hosting a seminar for anyone interested in learning how to referee on August 27th, 2016. If you would like to attend, you can download the information packet.

We have some exciting news! Emerald City Judo has moved into a larger space. Classes are running as normal and we will soon have double the mat space. We are just a couple of buildings away from our old location. We are located right behind Hi-Fi Brewing. Here is the address and map.
